This is a project I put together to catalog and showcase all the work I’ve done since mid March of 2011 to July 2012. It goes through whole processes from initial thumbnails and starting sketches to finished products and everything inbetween.

An e-book cover for a selection of poetry I’ve been working on. There wasn’t any real prompt to the image, so I went with the concept of rumpus. I thought someone causing a huge scene at a fancy party was a kind of rumpus and the publisher seemed to like it too!

A video promo I made for our newest app, Big Fish Bingo! For clarifications, I didn’t create any of the assets, I was just in charge of editing and animation. Copyright Big Fish Games / Self Aware Studios.

Disney isn’t the end-all, be-all animation God, and let’s be honest, less than 10% of us would be animators there, anyway.

I feel like you can always get a job in what you love you to do, you just need to be both flexible and stubborn at the same time. Okay, so maybe you won’t work at Disney as…

This is so COMPLETELY true. I feel like alot of what SCAD/the animation community in general values above all is working in a feature film environment, but it’s such a small slice of the pie. If that’s the only reason you got into art professionally, you’re probably not in the right field.
